Welcome Cougars!
Welcome to the start of the new year at CSUSM! The ASI Women's Center has made some cool changes over the summer in order to be an even better place for all Cougars.
We now have our very first full-time Women's Center Director, Lea Burgess-Carland. Lea comes to us with a strong background in community nonprofits and campus-based centers, working with the LGBT community, underrepresented students, and survivors of sexual and domestic violence. We hope that you will come by our Open House on Sept. 15 from 11am-2pm to meet Lea and the rest of the Women's Center staff.
The center space has also gone through changes this summer, as we underwent construction to build Lea's office! We took the opportunity to clean-up and re-organize, and now the center looks more open and inviting than ever before. Come see for yourself! Our fall hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Thursday, and 9am-12pm Friday. You are always welcome to stop in to heat up and eat your lunch, borrow a book, take a nap, get some supplies, study, or just chill.
